Seonjeongneung is the tomb of King Seongjong, the 9th king of Joseon and Queen Jeonghyeon Yun, and the tomb of King Jungjong, the 11th king of Joseon. Seonjeongneung is a representative royal tomb where Gangnam developed rapidly in the 1970s, but it was well preserved and you can see greenery in the city center.

A. Seolleung (宣陵)

The Form of The Tomb: 1495 (Yeonsan 1), 1530 (25th year of King Jungjong)
Seolleung is the tomb of King Seongjong, the ninth king of Joseon and Queen Jeonghyeon Yun, the third queen of King Seongjong. When viewed from the front of Jeongjagak, the hill on the left (west) is the tomb of King Seongjong, and the hill on the right (east) is the tomb of Queen Jeonghyeon. During his reign, King Seongjong completed and promulgated 『Gyeongguk Daejeon』 and 『Daejeon Soknok』, which are the basic laws of Joseon, and 『Gukjo Oryeui』, which organized the national rites.
B. Jeongneung (靖陵)
Form of Tomb : Danneung
Formation of the Tomb : 1562 (17th year of King Myeongjong)
Jeongneung is the tomb of King Jungjong, the 11th king of the Joseon Dynasty. King Jungjong ascended to the throne in 1506 when his half-brother. Yeonsangun was dethroned. During his reign, he corrected the wrong politics and systems of Yeonsan-gun and contributed to the development of the printing press by actively carrying out the book compilation business.
